Leading England amateur Jodi Ewart(pictured right, courtesy of leaderboardphotography.com) shot a superb 67 in the fourth round of qualifying for the US Duramed Futures Tour and shares fifth place with 18 holes to go.

Jodi's five-under par at Ridgewood in Florida, equalled the low-score of the day. It puts her on six-under for the tournament after she carded earlier rounds on different courses of 69, 73, 73.

She's among 96 players, from a field of 287, who made the 72-hole cut and will play today's final round at the Lake Region Yacht and Country Club.

Jodi, 21, plays at Catterick in Yorkshire and is a student at the University of New Mexico. She's twice been English strokeplay champion, played in the 2008 Curtis Cup and is one of the top players on the US women's college circuit.

Manchester's Rachel Connor also made it comfortably through the cut, although her fourth-round score of eight-over 80 at the Golf Club at Bridgewater dropped her back to a share of 41st place. The 19-year-old international had earlier scored 73, 72, 69.

However, Tilly Magill (nee Holder) of Woburn was among those who missed the cut.

The Futures Tour is the developmental tour of the LPGA and a field of 287 players from 38 nations has competed on four courses in Central Florida this week for 2010 playing status.

Approximately 20-30 full cards for the Futures Tour will be awarded, but the exact number will only be determined after final qualifying for the LPGA Tour itself, which takes place in December. Most players completing four rounds at Futures Tour Q-school will get some status for next year.
