Charley Hull and Lauren Taylor in England's Spirit International team
25th October 2011

Internationals Charley Hull and Lauren Taylor will represent England in the Spirit International Amateur Championship at Whispering Pines Golf Club, Texas, from 2-5 November.

They will be joined in the mixed team by internationals Ben Loughrey, 22, of Wrag Barn, Wiltshire, and Neil Raymond, 25, of Corhampton, Hampshire.

The Spirit is a biennial, world-class event featuring top men and women golfers from 20 countries, who play in team and individual competitions over 72 holes.

Lauren Taylor, 17, and Charley Hull, 15, were members of the 2011 England team which won the ladies' Home Internationals for the first time in four years. They also represented Europe in the Junior Solheim Cup in Ireland last month. Both players are members of Woburn.

Lauren, became the youngest-ever winner of the women's British amateur championship in June when she was 16. Since then she's played in the Ricoh Women's British Open, helped England win the silver medal at the European girls' team championship, won the Dutch Riverwoods girls' open - and a place in next year's LET Dutch Open - and become the first girl to win the annual Ian Poulter junior invitational.

Charley won the English women's open strokeplay championship in July, with a 13-under par score. Earlier in the season she won on the US Orange Blossom Tour and also captured the Welsh open strokeplay championship. She was also runner-up in the English women's amateur championship. She became a full England international at the age of 14 and this year represented GB&I in the junior Vagliano Trophy.

Ben Loughrey became a full England international against Spain at The Berkshire last May and also played in the winning Home Internationals team.  He won the New South Wales Cup in Australia earlier this year and finished third in the Welsh Open Stroke Play. He was a member of the victorious Wiltshire team that won the English County Championship at Ganton last month while in 2010 he won the Lee Westwood Trophy.

Neil Raymond also made his England debut against Spain this year and played in the Home Internationals.

He won the Brabazon Trophy, the English men's strokeplay championship, at Burnham and Berrow in June after finishing second in the Selborne Salver. Like Loughrey, he was a member of the squad that toured Australia early this year and played in the Ashes matches.

Both are members of the England squad named for winter training and for 2012.
