Five members of the Wales side which won the Home Internationals last year will spearhead the Ladies team selected for next month's European Team Championships in Slovenia.

Newly crowned Wales Amateur champion Katie Bradbury is not available for the event, but Chloe Williams, Becky Harries, Sam Birks, Jessica Evans and Megan Lockett are included in the team. Newport's Lauren Hillier completes the six strong group.

Coach Jeremy Bennett and team manager Jill Evans, who led the Home Internationals winning side last summer, are once again in charge. Wales finished 13 th in the European Ladies Team Championship last year, finishing strongly, and will be looking to build on that result this time round.

This is a strong team packed full of experience, players who are used to winning thanks to their Home Nations triumphs in recent years, said Golf Union of Wales director of performance Ben Waterhouse.
