On Friday, 17th June 2011, the Rotary Club of Leigh will be hosting a charity golf day at Leigh Golf Club, Kenyon Hall, Culcheth, Lancashire. All proceeds from the day will go to local charities in the area, including Young Carers, Compassion in Action, Wigan & Leigh Hospice to name a few.
The golf day is open to all and will comprise of a 4 ball stableford competition. The entry fee of £200 per team includes 18 holes of golf, presentation and evening meal and various competitions throughout the course. Known in the local area as “Royal Leigh”, this beautiful parkland course has developed over the last 100 years into a true test of golf. Well-defined fairways and tricky greens are complemented by mature and recently planted trees that provide definition for every hole. Following a £100,000 investment in course improvements, this 5908 yard Par 69 layout certainly lives up to its billing as “Royal Leigh”.
Tee off times for the tournament will start at 11.00am (with the last tee off time being 3.00pm) and teams may request preferred tee off time when booking.
This is the first time the Rotary Club of Leigh have hosted a golf day as part of their fundraising activities and we would be most grateful if you would promote the day via your website.
