Women’s Championship
European Women’s Championship, Poland

English Champion Emma Duggleby won the European Individual Championship in a three hole play-off against Tania Elosegui of Spain. She becomes the first English player to win the European title since Joanne Morley in 1992.

With a final round of 68, four under par, Duggleby caught Elosegui to tie on 283 at the Amber Baltic Golf Club in Poland. Three pars in the playoff were sufficient after her opponent’s opening tee shot found water. Rebecca Hudson finished in a tie for fourth place with a final round of 72  and a total of 287.
