Charlotte Ellis wins Hampshire Rose

England international Charlotte Ellis (pictured below) underlined her fine form when she won the   Hampshire Rose 36-hole tournament at North Hants.

Charlotte, from Minchinhampton in Gloucestershire, was fresh from her success as leading amateur at the recent Roehampton Gold Cup.
In the Hampshire Rose she got off to an excellent start with a three-under par 70 in the first round. In the afternoon she had to hold off a strong challenge by Rachel Drummond of Beaconsfield, who eventually came up just one short after returning a pair of 73s.
Three Hampshire players,  Tracey Boyes, Katie Thompson and Raffi Dyer, all featured in the prizes, alongside Dorset's Hayley Davis, who is the new Scottish U16 open strokeplay champion.
