Seniors Golf Association - Poppy Appeal Golf Classic
The Royal British Legion is known to millions for the work it does helping those who have served their country, not only in the Second World War but in conflicts since, and even ongoing as we see so tragically in the news. The nation comes to a halt on November 11th and rightly so to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
To raise funds for the RBL we organise the Poppy Appeal Golf Classic, where we ask golf clubs around the country to hold a day — possibly an autumn monthly medal — in aid of the Poppy Appeal. It can be the entire Club, Seniors Section, Ladies Section or whatever — everyone is welcome. Each player receives a commemorative ball-marker with the distinctive poppy logo and the winner is each Club or section receives a specially minted gold medal.
If you do support this event now, thank you, but if your Club is not involved please get in touch for details of how you can help. In the past few years golfers across the country have raised over £100,000 for the RBL. Thank you. Email now to: peter.seniorsgolf@gmail.com
