Hertfordshire swept to victory in the East region County Match Week with a 9-0 whitewash of Cambs & Hunts on the final day at West Herts.
They were clear winners of the week with five points from five matches and will represent the region in the finals of the English Counties' Championship, supported by Virgin Atlantic.
In the day's other matches Bedfordshire upset the form book to beat Essex 5-4 while Norfolk also defeated Suffolk 5-4.
In the Midlands South region week at Goring and Streatley, Northamptonshire continued their winning record by completing their fifth victory of the week.
They had secured their place at County Finals after four days, but rounded off the week with a 6½-2½ win over Buckinghamshire. Worcestershire and Herefordshire beat Warwickshire 5½-3½ and Oxfordshire beat the hosts, Berkshire, 5½-3½.
The winners of each of six County Match Weeks will go forward to the County Finals at Kedleston Park, Derbyshire, in September. Three match weeks have already been completed and Dorset will represent the South West, Sussex will represent the South and Lincolnshire will represent Midlands North. The North week will take place at the end of the month.
Northamptonshire win Midlands South County Match Week

Northamptonshire have won their place in the finals of the English Counties Championship, supported by Virgin Atlantic.
They qualified, with a day to spare, when they won their fourth consecutive point at the Midlands South regional County Match Week at Goring and Streatley.
The team defeated Oxfordshire 5½-3½ and go into the final day knowing they can't be caught by any of their rivals. In yesterday's other matches Worcestershire & Herefordshire beat Buckinghamshire 6-3 and Warwickshire defeated Berkshire 5-4.
In the East region County Match Week at West Herts, the hosts, Hertfordshire continued their winning progress. They have four points from four matches after beating Suffolk 7-2 and today play Cambs & Hunts who have amassed 1½ points.
Essex are their closest challengers with three points after beating Norfolk 6½- 2½. In the day's other match Bedfordshire and Cambs & Hunts halved.

Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire have both maintained their 100 per cent winning records in their respective County Match Weeks.
Hertfordshire are at the top of the league table in the East region week at West Herts, while Northamptonshire lead the way in the Midlands South week at Goring & Streatley.
These are two of six County Match Weeks and the winning teams will go forward to the finals of the English Counties' Championship at Kedleston Park, Derbyshire, in September. The series is supported by Virgin Atlantic.
In the East region week, Hertfordshire continued their winning ways with a 6-3 victory over their strongest rivals, Essex. In the day's other matches, Cambs & Hunts beat Suffolk 6½-2½ while Bedfordshire and Norfolk halved.
The points table is: Hertfordshire 3, Essex 2, Bedfordshire and Norfolk 1½ each, Cambs & Hunts 1, Suffolk 0.
In the Midlands South Week, Northamptonshire recorded their third straight win with a 5½-3½ scoreline over Warwickshire. Meanwhile, Oxfordshire beat Buckinghamshire 7-2 and the hosts, Berkshire, claimed their first point with a 6-3 win over Worcestershire & Herefordshire.

Northamptonshire take lead at Midlands South County Week

Northamptonshire have opened up a slender lead after the second day of the Midlands South County Match Week at Goring and Streatley, Berkshire.
This is one of two County Match Weeks which are currently taking place. The winners of each will join four other regional qualifiers at the national finals of the English Counties' Championship, which is supported by Virgin Atlantic.
Northamptonshire claimed their second point of the week when they beat Berkshire 6-3. Just behind, on 1½ points, are Warwickshire and Buckinghamshire who met today and halved their match.
Oxfordshire have one point after beating Worcestershire & Herefordshire 6-3.
In the East region week at West Herts the hosts, Hertfordshire, defeated Bedfordshire 7-2 while Essex beat Suffolk 5½-3½. Hertfordshire and Essex both have two points but the hosts have a narrow advantage having won two more games so far.
In the day's other match Norfolk beat Cambs & Hunts 6-3.
