hew Southgate ( Thorpe Hall , Essex) and Josh White ( Chipstead , Surrey), will represent the English Golf Union (EGU) in the annual Mexican Amateur Championship and International Pairs Tournament at Club Campestre Monterrey in Monterrey City on 18th - 21st March.
The Mexican Amateur is played over 72 holes of stroke play with the International Pairs Tournament running alongside, the aggregate scores each day of both players counting.
Southgate and White gave impressive performances for England in last month's Costa Ballena Quadrangular Tournament in Spain. As foursomes partners they lost just one of their three matches, Southgate won all his three singles while White was also unbeaten, winning one and claiming two halves.
Southgate, 21, came to the fore last year when finishing third in the Welsh Open Stroke Play and runner-up in the English County Champions Tournament at Woodhall Spa . He also helped Essex win the County Championship at Chipping Sodbury .
This will be the seventh occasion that the EGU has sent players to the event but the title has yet to end up in English hands.
Kent's Lloyd Campbell and David Skinns from Lincolnshire won the pairs event in 2005, while Matt Cryer from Warwickshire and Cheshire's Paul Waring finished third in the pairs in 2006.
