Cheshire Junior Tour winners

MATTHEW Gardner and Mia Cleaverley have finished top of the class in the Cheshire County Golf Partnership's Junior Tour.

The Order of Merit - based on four events at Pryors Hayes, Helsby, Walton Hall and High Legh - brought together promising young golfers from across the county between the ages of 9 and 16.

Matthew, from Prestbury Golf Club, topped the division one competition with clubmate Will Prescott taking second spot.

Third place went to Nick Whitehall (Alder Root GC) ahead of Adam Keeble (Sandbach).

In division two, Mia, of Warrington GC, pipped Calder Bray (Prestbury) and Isabelle Broadhurst (Styal) to top spot.
