Ultrathon Insect Repellent Reveals Mosquito Misery in the UK

A recent survey conducted by 3M Ultrathon Insect Repellent has revealed the true disruption caused by mosquitoes in the UK.  

While many of us associate biting insects with the sunnier climes of foreign countries, it seems that the UK is where we are most likely to have our outdoor activities interrupted by these little critters.

In fact, nearly 50 per cent of people surveyed have had the enjoyment of a picnic cut short in the UK because of these pests, yet fewer than 20 per cent have while abroad. These sorts of comparisons continue across a wide range of outdoor leisure activities including a relaxing walk, camping, bike rides and BBQs.

Despite these results, it seems that when we do decide on a 'staycation', us Brits just don't prepare for mosquitoes and midges, with fewer than half of us packing insect repellent for a holiday in the UK. In fact, even though more of us have been bitten by insects than sunburnt in the UK, more people typically pack sun cream than they do insect repellent for their holiday at home.
