Little will be seen of the million dollars of the Million Dollar Texas Scramble (despite the change in the amateur status rules). However the winners will be well satisfied with the twenty quid on offer to each member of the winning team and a very substantial trophy. With a net score of 63.1

The team of Sean Swords, Roger Henry and Jeremy Zabell did well to bag second place with one of their team missing (Dave Bidgood was held up in Barbados, some people really know where to get delayed). The reduced team were treated slightly more favourably with handicap allowance and managed a net 63.5.

A great day with a good lunch, all washed down with the relevant wine and a talk regarding the development of the course to 18 holes from club president Malcolm Hardstaff. There were no prizes for those staying awake in the late afternoon, ahhhh the joys of senior golf!
