South East Golf Week, from May 27 to June 2, takes place immediately after the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, when interest in the sport will be on the upswing. It's part of the national Get into golf campaign which encourages more people to play the game and events are all detailed at www.getintogolf.org
Hampshire is one of seven counties taking part in the regional festival of golf, alongside Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Oxfordshire.
The week is being organised locally by the Hampshire Golf Partnership, which brings together the men's women's and professionals' organisations to grow the game.
County Development Officer Beverly Huke said: Newcomers to the game will find that our clubs and coaches are very welcoming and they're passionate about getting people to try, play and join in the game of golf.
It's never been easier to start playing and golf is a great game for everyone who enjoys friendship, fresh air and exercise.
