Igglesden
Charity Day
Former
England cricketer Alan Igglesden is hosting a celebrity golf day
to raise money for the treatment of brain tumours.
Igglesden
is making a good recovery after recently being diagnosed with a
brain tumour, and during his treatment he discovered that most of
the money used to research the condition comes from donations.
That
has led the former Kent pace bowler to organise a charity day in
aid of the UK Brain Tumour Society after gaining a first-hand insight
into the work they do.
The
event will take place at Redlibbets Golf Club near Sevenoaks in
Kent - with all proceeds going to the charity to assist their research
and campaign for more funding.
Players
will compete in an individual Stableford, enjoying the round in
teams of four. An evening buffet meal along with a guest speaker
has also been arranged while competitors can take part in a putting
contest, nearest-the-pin competition and even win a car if they
have a hole-in-one.
Entrance
is 300 for a team of four people, or 300 for a team of three plus
a celebrity. Call Stuart Hennell on 01622-750185 or 07788-928338
