New Amateur Open Champion in Portugal

James Holmes went out to ESTELA GOLF, he started his competition play on Wednesday 16th March. There were 105 players of which 32 went through to match play.

There were eight other British players who played match play. Jamie Donaldson and David Dixon both played well getting through to the quarter finals. James played Graham Gordon (Scotland) in the semi finals winning 6 and 5.

In the final James played 36 holes against Marcel Siem (+4) of Germany winning with an impessive score 3 and 2.
