So Near Yet So Farren

The final of this year's Faldo Junior Series will take place at Royal Liverpool Golf Club on September 17-19. One of the most prestigious occasions
in the junior golfing calendar, the event will once again be hosted by Nick Faldo.

The quality of the youngsters who have made it to this year's final was
underlined at the recent Faldo Junior Series event at St Mellion Hotel Golf
and Country Club.

Despite a two-under-par 70 in his final round, 15-year-old Farren Keenan of
Royal Mid- Surrey Golf Club was pipped to the top spot in the under-16 Sony order of merit by Russia's Gregory Bondarenko. Joining Bondarenko in the final will be the respective order of merit winners: Thomas Piggott (under-18, Welwyn Garden City), Will Haddrell (under-17, Royal Mid-Surrey), James Smith (under-15, Sundridge Park) and Lauren Smith (Ggirls, Sundridge Park).
