GAINS MAIN SPONSOR
The first annual
John Jacobs Golf Classic Tournament to raise funds for Wessex Heartbeat,
the hardworking charity that supports the Wessex Cardiac unit, has
found a main sponsor.� Bournemouth based tyre specialist Mike Stokes
First Stop have agreed to be the main sponsor for the tournament
on Thursday 24th August organised by the Canford Magna
Golf Complex and Club near Wimborne.� John Jacobs who is highly
regarded internationally as one of golf�s most influential personalities,
will attend not only to present prizes, but to provide a special
golf clinic.� Radio 2 presenter Ed �Stewpot� Stewart is the first
of many of the invited celebrities to confirm that he will play
on the day.
Trevor Smith,
Managing Director of Canford Magna Golf Club says that he is delighted
that Mike Stokes and his company has agreed to support the first
tournament which they expect to become one of the top golfing events
in the south, to be held on the championship Parkland Course that
spans some of the picturesque 350 acres near to the river Stour.�
�This will ensure that as much money as possible can be raised for
Wessex Heartbeat.� We have been impressed with the number of teams
that have already applied for entry forms.�
The closing
date for entries is 1st August but Trevor Smith doubts
that any spaces will be available by then.� Anyone wishing further
