INTER-CLUB SCRATCH & HANDICAP RESULTS

The Inter-Club Scratch and Handicap finals were played today 22/5/2000 at Manchester Golf Club.

Results
Scratch: Champions - Preston Golf Club 246 2nd= - Royal Lytham and Pleasington Golf Clubs 247 4th - Clitheroe Golf Club 255

Handicap: Champions - Preston Golf Club 218 2nd - Lee Park Golf Club 226 3rd - Deane Golf Club 230 4th - Wilpshire Golf Club 235

This is the 1st time since 1947 that the same club has managed to win both championships (Royal Birkdale was the last in 1947) and is quite a feat, as there are now 116 clubs eligible to play in the Inter-Club Championships and there were less than half that number in 1947.
