LEVERN
PROPERTY SPONSOR FIRST
UNDER-14'S CHAMPIONSHIP
The
popularity of golf with Scotland's juniors has prompted the Scottish
Golf Union to give them their own under-14's national championship,
to be played at the Hirsel Golf Club in the Borders on 12 July.
The
Levern Property Scottish Boys Under-14 Open Amateur Stroke Play
Championship will be played for the Douglas Forsyth Trophy, named
after the brother of the European Tour player Alastair Forsyth.
Levern
Property, a Glasgow based property development and management company
will be the title sponsor of the new championship following a 35
year association with Scottish Golf.
Gordon
McInnes, their Managing Director, said: "Encouraging juniors
to play the game is definitely the way forward for Scottish Golf
and I am in no doubt that in this new championship we will see many
players who are assured of a successful career in golf."
