COULD
YOU HOLE THE PUTT TO WIN THE RYDER CUP?
PUTT
FOR THE CUP ON MICHELOBS
19TH HOLE PUTTING CHALLENGE
You
may have watched it on TV, you may have seen it in the flesh, but
could you have holed the putt Sam Torrance did to win the 1985 Ryder
Cup at The De Vere The Belfry?
Nows your chance to find out
Michelob, Official 19th Hole and beer to the 2001
Ryder Cup, has launched a putting challenge from may 10, 2000 in
search of the UKs best putter and the winner at each tournament
will win a luxury golfing break.
The
Michelob 19th Hole Putting Challenge recreates the 1985
Ryder Cup-winning putt on a 20ft replica of the Brabazon Courses
18th hole green at The De Vere Belfry. It gives golfers the opportunity to try the
putt for real on a computer-aided reproduction of the green which
will evoke years and years of priceless golfing memories.
Visiting
up to four locations during the Summer 2000, Michelobs 19th
Hole Putting Challenge made its first appearance at The Benson and
Hedges International Open 10th 14th May
2000.
At
each location, the best putter will win a luxury golfing break at
their choice of one of eleven destinations across the UK from De
Vere Hotels and Leisure Limited, including The De Vere Belfry, venue
for the Ryder Cup 2001. All
you need to enter is a ticket to the tournament playing host to
the challenge, then look out for Michelobs 19th Hole
Putting Challenge and enter for free! (All entrants must be aged
18 or Over).
If
you missed out on the Benson and Hedges International Open you can
catch the putting Challenge at the Compaq European Grand Prix, Slaley
Hall, Northumberland, June 22 June 25.
Confirmation of further venues to be visited by the Michelob
19th Hole Putting Challenge will be announced soon.
