The Welsh Golfing Union have selected six uncapped players to meet Ireland in a friendly Boy International Match at the Rosslare Golf Club on April 10/11 2001 for the Cardigan Cup. Rhys Davies and Lewis James are the only capped players selected. Despite the relative inexperience of the team the Welsh Golfing Union will be looking to go one better than the previous two matches which were both tied. The match gives these players valuable international experience at the beginning of what promises to be an exciting season ahead.
