and 2nd Round Match Play will take place at the above
Venue on Sunday 15th July.
A Club who fails
to appear on the day and has not given three days prior notice of
their withdrawal to the Branch Secretary shall incur a penalty of
�100. Future entry to the competition by the Club shall not be accepted
until the penalty is paid in full.
Mode of play.
Each team to
consist of 5 male members. Play in the qualifying round shall be
18 holes singles scratch medal play. The best four cards to count.
In the event of a tie, the score of the fifth card to be added to
the other four. If still a tie the fifth card shall be used in accordance
with the R&A approved method for breaking ties over eighteen
holes.
Sixteen teams
will qualify for the match play stage, 8 teams from each section.
Practice.
By arrangement
with the host Club. Club team captains are asked to arrange suitable
practice times by contacting the host Club beforehand. Green fees
are payable. One practice round (at least) as if playing with a
member. Teams to produce identification if requested.
