LOOKING FOR EUROPEAN GLORY
Wales
have named a very strong team in their bid to regain the European
Mens Team Championship in Sweden from 3 � 7 July 2001.
Matthew
Griffiths from Woodlake Park and Brynhill�s Kyron Sullivan will
be making their debut in the European Championships.
Ian
Campbell, runner up in the Amateur Championship at Prestwick and
Craig Williams, runner up in the Amateur Championship in 1998 will
both be competing in their second European Mens Team Championships.
Both players have won medals for Wales, Campbell winning a bronze
in last year�s European Youth Team Championships and Williams a
gold also at the European Youth Team Championships in Belgium in
1998.
Lee
Harpin, the recent winner of the Aberconwy Trophy will be making
his second appearance having played in Italy two years ago. Nigel
Edwards will complete the six man team and will be making his third
appearance following Portmarnock in 1997 and Monticello, Italy in
1999.
