JENNINGS TEES OFF RNLI CHARITY MATCH
AT THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE
STAKIS PARK GOLF COURSE
Stakis
Park Golf Course, Templepatrick, Northern Ireland, will be officially
opened on 1 September by Pat Jennings, the former Northern Ireland
and Spurs goalkeepers and world renowned sportsman. The competition
will be in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
The new 18 hole
PGA championship golf course "The Golf Club" at Stakis
Park opened in June this year. The 7000 yard, par 71 golf course
cost £1.7 million to develop and is located on 220 acres of
parkland on the Castle Upton Estate in Templepatrick, County Antrim.
The course is only the second one in Northern Ireland built to US
Golf Association specifications and was designed by leading golf
professionals, David Feherty and David Jones of Northern Ireland.
The official
event will include a team fourball corporate competition led by
Pat Jennings and other sports and media personalities including
Mark Robson, the Eurosport and Sky Sports commentator and professional
golfers David Jones and Eamon Logue, the club's senior professional.
A championship dinner will round off the evening.
