GET
IN THE SWING FOR THE
PETER PAN INTERNATIONAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Get
ready to tee off for the 1999 Peter Pan Golf Tournament for a chance
to play golf at some of the country's top championship courses and
raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
Every
golf club in the UK is being invited to participate. The entry fee
is just £2.00 per player and the ultimate prize will be the
opportunity to play at the International Final at Dublin's "K"
Club, the venue of the 2005 Ryder Cup.
The
competition, which is supported by the world's number on women's
player, Laura Davis, is open to all golf club members over the age
of 18 participating in their Club's nominated Medal or Stableford
competition. Each player, who wins the Ladies, Gents or Seniors
(over 55 years old) section of either of these competitions, will
be invited to one of eight regional finals.
Regional
winners will go on to represent their country in Dublin on 4-5th
October 1999. All finalists will receive fee flights to Dublin,
2 nights accommodation, plus a gala dinner and the chance to win
lots of prizes.
Companies
can also take part in a separate competition - the 1999 Peter Pan
Corporate Challenge. Company teams of four are also being invited
to the eight regional finals. Winners from these will also go on
to the International Final in October.
The
Peter Pan Golf tournament, which is now in its 4th year, was devised
by Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital and has become the world's
biggest amateur golf event. It is named after one of Great Ormond
Street's most treasured gifts, the copyright to Sir J.M. Barrie's
famous play.
