UNIQUE GOLF PACKAGE TO RAISE CASH
FOR ROY CASTLE LUNG FOUNDATION
Golfers are
being offered the unique package of a three day celebrity golfing
trip to glorious Gleneagles from October 17th to 19th, traveling
aboard the Northern Pullman Carriages of the fable Venice-Simplon
Orient Express and at the same time making a significant contribution
to lung cancer research and patient care.
The special
event, to raise funds for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation,
offers ardent golfers the chance to board the train in London, Birmingham
or Preston for the trip of a lifetime.
Traveling in
the company of celebrities like magician Paul Daniels, judo golf
medallist Brian Jacks and World Cup hero Sir Geoff Hurst, the luxury
train will whisk them north while European Seniors Champion John
Garner offers golf tuition in a special carriage.
Once at Gleneagles,
there will be a cocktail reception and buffet evening meal before
retiring to bed. On Monday morning golfers can attend the Gleneagles
Golf Academy to have their swings assessed by professionals before
teeing off in the 18 hole celebrity match on the famous Monarchs
course, designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Two theme evenings
have been arranged - one based on the Scottish Whiskey Trail and
the second a "Mystery of the Orient" black tie dinner
with cabaret by Paul Daniels.
There is the
opportunity for a second round of golf on The Wee Course on Tuesday
morning before boarding the train for the return journey.
Non-golfers
are also catered for with a special shopping expedition to nearby
Aberdeen plus Gleneagles many leisure facilities include riding,
clay pigeon shooting, falconry or the luxury pool and health spa.
The cost of
this unique package - which includes dinner, bed and breakfast for
two nights at Gleneagles, return journey on the train, including
lunch, two cocktail receptions, lunch at The Dormy clubhouse and
use of the Academy and leisure facilities - is £1,250 per
individual or £2,000 per couple. Special rates are available
for group or corporate bookings.
