Bushnell Wingman Won't Pair - Need Help!

I’ve recently picked up the Bushnell Wingman golf speaker, and while I was really excited to use it for my rounds, I’m having some trouble getting it to pair with my smartphone. I’ve tried a few things but nothing seems to work, and I could really use some guidance. Here are some details about what I’ve done so far:

Steps I’ve Tried:

  1. Checked Bluetooth Settings: I made sure Bluetooth is turned on and my phone can see other devices, but the Wingman just doesn’t show up.
  2. Restarted Both Devices: Turned off and back on my phone and the Wingman multiple times to see if they would recognize each other.
  3. Reset the Wingman: I followed the instructions in the manual to reset the device to factory settings, but that hasn’t helped.
  4. Updated Firmware: I checked the Bushnell website to see if there’s a firmware update for the Wingman, but I couldn’t find anything.

Questions:

  • Are there any specific pairing modes I should be aware of?
  • Has anyone faced this issue and found a fix?
  • Are there particular smartphones that tend to work better with the Wingman?

I’m really looking forward to using it on the course for yardage info and playing some music. If anyone has tips or tricks, please share! Thanks a bunch!

I had the same issue with my Bushnell Wingman. First, try turning off both the speaker and your phone, then turn them back on. Sometimes, that’s all it takes!

Good tip! Also, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. I’ve forgotten that before too and it caused a lot of frustration!

Another thing to check is whether your Bushnell app is up to date. Sometimes updates contain important bug fixes that improve connectivity.

If it still won’t pair, try resetting the speaker. Press and hold the power button and the volume up button simultaneously for about 10 seconds.

That’s a solid suggestion! I’ve heard some people have also had luck unpairing the device from their phone first.

Exactly! Unpairing the device and then pairing it again can sometimes resolve any lingering connection issues. Have you tried that yet?

Also, make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices nearby that could interfere with pairing. That’s something I overlooked once and it caused a headache.

Good point! It’s also worth checking if your phone is connected to any other audio devices. That might mess things up.

I really hope this helps! But if nothing works, consider reaching out to Bushnell’s customer support. They can provide specific guidance tailored to your model.

One last thing—are you using an Android or iOS device? Sometimes, the pairing process varies slightly depending on the operating system.

I’m on Android. Do you think it makes a difference in pairing success?

Not really, but sometimes specific models have unique quirks. Just make sure your device is not in low power mode, which can limit Bluetooth functionality.

I swear, if my Bushnell Wingman had a dollar for every time it wouldn’t pair, I could probably buy a new one! But seriously, persistence is key!

The struggle is real, @zkelly! But with all these tips, I’m sure we can get it sorted out. Who knew pairing could be such a rollercoaster?

I’m having trouble pairing my Bushnell Wingman too. I have a Samsung Galaxy S10. Is there a compatibility list somewhere? I want to make sure my device fits the requirements.

I think the Wingman supports iOS 12 and above. You might want to check your software version to ensure it meets the requirements!

I have an iPhone 11 and it’s been working fine with my Wingman. Maybe there’s a sync issue? Have you tried resetting your Bluetooth settings?

I haven’t! I’ll give that a shot. Thanks for the suggestion.

You might also want to check the manual for any device limitations. I heard some Android devices have issues connecting due to older Bluetooth versions.
