Callaway Supersoft vs ERC Soft: Which One Should I Choose?

I’m in the market for some new golf balls and I’ve been hearing a lot about the Callaway Supersoft and the ERC Soft. I’m curious about how they compare in terms of performance and what features stand out for each ball.

Here’s what I’m looking for:

  • Compression Ratings: How do these two balls stack up?
  • Distance and Control: Which ball provides better distance without sacrificing control?
  • Feel and Feedback: What’s the difference in feel around the greens?
  • Suitability for Different Styles of Play: Are they better for beginners, intermediate, or advanced players?

I’ve seen some reviews online, but I really want some firsthand feedback from those who’ve played with both. Would appreciate any insights on which ball has helped your game more, and if you think the price differences justify the performance.

Also, if you’ve compared them to other brands, feel free to share your thoughts! Thanks!

I’ve used both the Supersoft and ERC Soft, and I find the Supersoft gives more distance off the tee. The ERC Soft tends to shine in terms of greenside control, though.

Interesting take! I’ve noticed that the ERC Soft has a slightly higher ball flight, which can help on windy days. Anyone else noticed this?

I agree with millerdavid! The Supersoft seems to give me that extra 10-15 yards, but when it comes to precision, the ERC Soft is hard to beat.

I’ve had a different experience. I find that the Supersoft can also handle the wind well if struck right. Still, I love the feel of the ERC around the greens!

I’m leaning towards the Supersoft for my next game. Just love how soft it feels off the club face! Does anyone find it holds up well in wet conditions?

I’ve played both balls in the rain. The Supersoft tends to get heavy when wet, but the ERC Soft keeps its distance. That said, I still prefer the feel of the Supersoft in dry conditions!

Wow, this is so insightful! I’m curious whether the durability of either ball changes over time. Do either of you have a favorite after extended play?

I wonder if they should name the Supersoft the ‘dropdown’ ball for those rainy rounds! Haha!

It’s all about personal preference! For high-handicappers like me, I find the ERC Soft gives me more spin on approach shots, which helps my game quite a bit.

That makes sense! I’m reflecting on my last outing, and the ERC was indeed great for stopping quick on the greens, but man, you can’t beat that distance from the Supersoft!

I’ve found the Callaway Supersoft to be incredibly soft, offering a nice feel on impact. It just feels easier to control the spin around the greens compared to the ERC Soft.

That’s interesting! I actually prefer the ERC Soft for its slightly firmer feel. It gives me more feedback on my shots, particularly with mid-irons.

I tried both during a round last week. The Supersoft has a noticeable fluffiness, but the ERC Soft feels more stable on longer shots, which I appreciate.

Exactly! I feel like the ERC Soft gives a better sense of control, especially with spin. It’s a versatile option that works well for various strokes.

While both are solid, the Supersoft seems to provide more feedback on short chips. It’s super soft but still allows for good control over spin. Anyone else experience this?

I totally agree! The Supersoft feels amazing on shorter shots. I think it really shines in that area, but I still lean towards the ERC Soft for overall performance.

I’m curious how both balls hold up in windy conditions. Does anyone have feedback on that? I tend to struggle with spin control when it’s breezy.

I’ve played both in windy rounds, and the ERC Soft seemed to cut through the wind better. The Supersoft was still playable, but I felt less assured about my distance control.

I’m just here trying to figure out if I need to trade in my piggy bank for an ERC Soft upgrade! The price difference is giving me a chuckle.
