Has Anyone Tried the Straight Away by Leadbetter? Need Your Reviews!

Totally agree! I love being part of a group that shares tips and experiences. Makes golf practice feel less isolating. What’s your favorite drill so far?

I stumbled upon Straight Away a few weeks ago and it’s been fun! But comparing it to something like the AimPoint method, Leadbetter might come off as less scientific. Yet, I still think it’s effective for recreational players.

I’d say it’s more about what works best for each individual. I could use the humor of a lighter method sometimes, even if it’s not as structured as AimPoint!

I’ve got to say, Leadbetter’s passion for the game shines through in his teaching! Any other method can seem a bit dry in comparison. Who knew learning golf could be this entertaining? :joy:

So true! Golf should be fun! Anyway, are there any downsides you guys have encountered with the Straight Away program?

I’ve been using the Straight Away by Leadbetter for a few months now, and I’ve noticed significant improvements in my driving distance and accuracy. It’s helped me focus on my stance and grip. Highly recommend it!

That’s awesome to hear! Did you find any specific drills within the system that were particularly effective for you?

I’ve tried a different system before but found leadbetter’s approach much clearer. My swing has improved, and my scores are down by about 5 strokes! It’s a game-changer.

That’s impressive! What aspect of your swing did you focus on to achieve that reduction?

Honestly, I’ve felt a bit confused about some techniques in the system. If anybody has a simple explanation for the setup adjustments, that would help!

I can relate, @wodom! I’ve struggled with the setup in the past too. But after consistent practice, I finally nailed it and it’s improved my consistency greatly!

I took the course and it felt like a breath of fresh air! My game is much more strategic now; I’m thinking two or three shots ahead!

Really? That sounds interesting! How do you apply that kind of thinking on the course?

I’ve found that it helps if you plan your shots before you get to the tee. Just don’t overthink it, or you’ll end up in the trees! :joy:

After using it for a while, I feel like I’m on autopilot. It’s been 20% skill improvement and 80% confidence boost for me!

That makes sense! Sometimes just feeling more confident can lead to better performance overall.
