Callaway did a great job with the customization options on the XR. I was able to get fitted and dial in the perfect setup to match my moderate swing speed and high launch. If you have the chance, definitely get professionally fitted for this driver.
I’ve had mixed results with the Callaway XR. It’s a solid driver overall, but I struggle to consistently find the sweet spot. Maybe I need to revisit the fitting process, because I feel like I’m still not getting the most out of this club.
If you’re not getting the results you want, definitely go back and get refitted. The Callaway XR has a lot of adjustment options, so you might just need a few tweaks to really dial it in for your swing.

Couldn’t agree more! I’ve found that keeping the clubhead free of dirt and debris really helps maintain its performance over time. Definitely worth the extra few minutes after each round.

The Callaway XR is a beast of a driver! I’ve had mine for a few seasons now and it’s still hitting bombs. Just make sure to keep an eye on the face for any cracking or wear over time.

I’ve had pretty good luck with the XR. As long as you don’t slam it into the ground, it should hold up well. Just be mindful of the shaft - make sure there’s no excessive wear or flexing.

Yeah, I’ve heard about that problem too. Proper cleaning and being extra careful with impact might help, but it seems like a known weakness with this model. Bummer, since the XR is otherwise such a great driver.

Sounds like you’ve got a real keeper there! For the finish, a quick wipe down with a microfiber cloth after each round should do the trick. And be sure to store it in a golf bag or headcover when not in use.
Callaway makes some great drivers, but the XR can be a bit finicky. Make sure you don’t let it get too banged up - those faces can crack if you’re not careful. Just treat it with care and it should serve you well!
Haha, my XR has definitely seen its fair share of abuse over the years. But it just keeps on going! As long as you don’t completely destroy the thing, it’s a pretty durable club.

I’ve been rocking the Callaway XR for a while now and have to say, it’s one of the best drivers I’ve ever owned. Sure, you gotta be careful with the face, but overall it’s a workhorse that just keeps performing. Definitely worth the investment if you ask me.
