Looking for Recommendations on Montana Golf Trips!

I’m planning a golf trip to Montana and would love to hear some advice or recommendations from fellow golf enthusiasts. What are the best golf courses to check out?

Here are a few things I’m looking for:

  • Top golf resorts with great amenities
  • Golf packages or deals that you’ve found helpful
  • Personal experiences and tips for traveling in Montana

I’ve heard a lot about the stunning scenery and amazing golf courses, but I want to make sure I don’t miss out. Also, any suggestions on activities besides golfing would be appreciated, as I’d love to explore the state while I’m there! Looking forward to your insights.

If you’re in Montana, you can’t miss out on the Old Works Golf Course in Anaconda! It’s got a unique design and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The course can be challenging, especially the back nine, but it’s definitely worth it!

I’ve heard great things about Old Works! How does it compare to the courses at Billings? I’m trying to decide where to spend my time.

The courses in Billings are fantastic, especially the Billings Golf Club. It’s a classic course with some tricky holes but very enjoyable. If you’re looking for something a bit easier, the Pryor Creek Golf Club is also a good option.

I’ve played Pryor Creek and really liked it! The scenery is stunning, but I felt some of the holes were a little too forgiving. What other courses have that perfect mix of challenge and fun?

You should definitely check out the Shadow Mountain Golf Course! It has a nice balance of challenging and scenic holes, plus their greens are always in great shape. Just prepare to bring your A-game!

Shadow Mountain sounds fun! I’m also curious about the golf courses near Whitefish. Is there a specific one that stands out? I’ve heard mixed reviews and want to get it right!

Definitely try the Whitefish Lake Golf Club! The views are breathtaking, and they have a great mix of holes that can challenge all levels. Plus, it’s just a fun place to hang out after a round!

Sounds like a must-visit! Are the prices reasonable, especially during peak season? I want to plan my budget accordingly.

Prices can be a bit steep in peak season at Whitefish, but they often run specials early in the morning and late afternoon. Just check their website for updates!

I think the real challenge with golf in Montana is the weather! You could be dealing with rain or sun on the same day. Just be prepared for anything—pack a raincoat and sunscreen!

Haha, great advice! I’ve learned the hard way on a few trips! Any tips on hidden gems in Montana that might not be so crowded?

You should definitely consider visiting the Eagle Bend Golf Club! It’s a hidden gem with fantastic views and fewer crowds. It is a bit off the beaten path, but totally worth it for the experience.

Planning a golf trip to Montana is fantastic! I recommend aiming for late spring to early fall (May to September) for the best weather and course conditions.

Absolutely! The scenery is gorgeous during those months, plus the courses are in top shape. Don’t forget to check for local tournaments that might be happening!

When booking accommodations, look for places that are close to multiple golf courses. Also, consider renting a house if you’re going with a group; it can save costs and provide a better experience!

Great point! I also found that Airbnb can offer some unique and cozy stays. Just make sure to book early!

I’d recommend checking out Glacier National Park while you’re there! It’s stunning and you can play a round, then take in some breathtaking views.

Don’t forget about travel arrangements! If you’re flying in, Billings and Bozeman are good airports, and from there, it’s easy to drive to many great courses.
