Looking for the Best Golf Courses in South Shore Massachusetts!

If you’re looking for family-friendly, the Olde Scotland Links had a family plan last I checked. It’s quite affordable and fun for kids too.

Not to throw shade, but I’ve heard some private courses can be snooty. If you’re just starting out, public courses can be more welcoming.

That’s a valid point! I had a terrible experience when I tried one. I prefer a laid-back environment.

Golf can definitely be expensive. Just remember, not all memberships come with all the bells and whistles. Weigh the costs against your playing habits!

Looking back, I loved my experience at the public course in Braintree. Great value for the price, especially for those of us on a budget!

If you’re looking for the best golf courses in South Shore, definitely check out Pinehills Golf Club! They have great amenities and booking online is super easy.

I’ve heard a lot about Pinehills! Can you share some tips for booking tee times there?

Booking at Pinehills is best done at least a week in advance, especially during weekends. Also, consider their off-peak hours for better deals!

Great tip, Erika! Also, don’t forget to familiarize yourself with course etiquette. Always allow faster groups to play through, especially if they’re behind you.

What about local events? Any tournaments or leagues coming up?

Yes! South Shore has several local tournaments, especially in the summer. Check out the South Shore Golf Club website for their event calendar.

I always find it a bit overwhelming to join these events for the first time. Any advice for newcomers?

Don’t worry too much! Everyone’s really friendly, just introduce yourself and enjoy the game! You’ll have fun.

Haha, just make sure your golf shoes don’t squeak! Nothing worse than being the noisy one on the course.

Great point, Danny! And try to arrive early, you don’t want to rush. Enjoying the driving range before your tee time can really help calm those nerves.

I appreciate all the guidance! I’m definitely feeling more prepared to hit the courses. Just hope I don’t embarrass myself! :joy:
