Looking for the Best Golf Courses in Syracuse, NY!

Hey fellow golfers!
I’m planning a golf trip to Syracuse, NY, and I’m on the hunt for the best golf courses in the area. I’m looking for places that offer a good mix of challenging holes and beautiful scenery. It would also be great to know about the amenities available, like driving ranges, pro shops, and dining options.

Here are a few things I’m particularly interested in:

  • Course quality: What are the condition and design of the courses like?
  • User reviews: Any personal experiences or recommendations?
  • Price range: What can I expect to pay for a round of golf?
  • Accessibility: Are there courses that are beginner-friendly or suitable for advanced players?
  • Location: Which courses are conveniently located near the city or other attractions?

If anyone has visited any great courses in Syracuse, please share your thoughts! Your insights would really help in planning my trip. Thanks in advance!

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

If you’re looking for a top-rated course, try Drumlins Country Club. It has a great layout and the greens are well-maintained. The membership is worth it if you’re going to play regularly!

I totally agree! Drumlins is beautiful, but I also recommend the links-style course at Woodcrest. The landscape is gorgeous, really enhances the experience.

I had a great experience at Liverpool Golf & Country Club! The staff is really friendly, and they have some challenging holes. It’s a hidden gem!

Liverpool is awesome! I loved the 18th hole - it’s a real test of skill. Plus, they have excellent food in the clubhouse too!

What do you think makes a course like Drumlins stand out? Is it the price, experience, or course conditions? I am curious about the pros and cons of each course.

I think it’s mainly the condition of the courses. Courses that invest in maintenance tend to get better ratings. But price can be a big factor too; sometimes you get what you pay for!

Definitely! Drumlins can be pricey, but it’s worth it for the facilities. If you want something more affordable, Sunnycrest is budget-friendly and still a lot of fun to play.

Sunnycrest is a good option but can be crowded on weekends. I prefer to play in the early mornings to avoid the rush. Something about that peaceful atmosphere!

True! Early morning is the best time! I love that quiet atmosphere as well. On another note, has anyone played at the Links at Erie Village?

I’ve played at the Links! It’s lovely with a beautiful layout. However, the pace can slow down during peak times. Still, I’d recommend it for the experience and the views!

I agree, the views are stunning! But fair warning, it can be tough to get a tee time sometimes due to popularity. How do you all handle waiting?

I usually enjoy the wait if I’m with friends, but it can get frustrating alone! A quick practice putting session usually helps calm my nerves while waiting.

Sounds like a solid strategy! Golf is as much about patience as skill, right? Anyway, remember to bring snacks for the wait, it helps!

If you’re looking for great golf courses in Syracuse, definitely check out Drumlins Country Club! They have a beautiful clubhouse and excellent dining options.

I completely agree! The food there is top-notch, perfect for refueling after 18 holes.

Have you guys tried Erie Village Golf Club? They have a fantastic pro shop and a lovely driving range for practice.

Erie Village is great! I love the layout of the course as well. Plus, they have a very friendly staff!

Don’t forget about the Onondaga Golf Club! They offer a variety of amenities, including a spacious locker room and a nice bar area.

That sounds amazing! I’m always looking for a good post-golf drink. How’s the atmosphere?
