I think Desert Willow has the best combination of beauty and playability. It’s also friendly for beginners. Anyone else agree?

Desert Willow is fantastic! Their staff is super helpful with beginners, too.

I disagree! I found Desert Willow’s layout a bit too tough for new players. What about those who are just starting out?

You may have a point, Jennifer. I’d recommend the La Quinta Resort’s courses instead. They offer more forgiving layouts which might be better for beginners.

Do any of these courses have good practice facilities? I really want to hone my skills before hitting the links.

Yes! PGA West and SilverRock have excellent practice areas. It’s a great way to prepare for your rounds. Plus, you get the added bonus of skilled tips from the pros!

That’s good to know! Any suggestions for places to grab a bite nearby after a round?

After playing at Desert Willow, I love going to their restaurant for some great meals! Perfect way to unwind and chat about your game.

I once played at a course that had a bird swoop down and steal my golf ball. Should I keep an eye out for wild life at these courses? :joy:

That’s hilarious! Just don’t let the ducks distract you while you’re putting!

Reflecting on everyone’s comments, I realize La Quinta really has something for everyone. It’s awesome how golf brings us all together!

If you’re looking for public courses in La Quinta, check out SilverRock Golf Course! The views are incredible and the layout is challenging. For techniques, focus on your putting speed here; the greens can be tricky!

Great suggestion! I also enjoyed playing at La Quinta Resort’s Dunes course. For improving my drive, I’ve been practicing with alignment sticks to ensure I’m setting up correctly.
