If you’re looking for top public golf courses in LA, you can’t go wrong with Griffith Park Golf Course. The scenery is stunning and the course is well-kept. Plus, it offers two 18-hole courses!

I totally agree! Griffith Park is great, but don’t forget about Los Verdes Golf Course too. It’s challenging and has beautiful ocean views.

For a unique experience, try Trump National Golf Club. While it’s private, they open up for public play occasionally, and the views are spectacular. Just a bit pricey though!

Los Verdes is amazing! Also, don’t miss out on the Rancho Park Golf Club - it’s another highly rated spot with a great layout.

I’m a big fan of the Encino Golf Course. It’s got a good mix of challenging holes and forgiving ones, making it perfect for all skill levels!

That sounds interesting! But is it really worth the high fees? What’s the experience like for those prices?

I think the fee is worth it for such breathtaking views. Just make sure to book early; spots fill up fast due to its popularity!

Another great course is the Westchester Golf Course. It’s well maintained and has a friendly vibe. Perfect for a relaxed day out!

I get that view matters, but I wish it were more accessible! What about some budget-friendly options?

Try the public courses at the Balboa Park Golf Course. Great rates, and the layout is enjoyable without feeling overly difficult.

Balboa is a solid recommendation. I’ve played there many times and it feels like a hidden gem amidst the busier courses!

Nice! I’ll add that to my list. What do you all think about public golf course amenities? Some really lack in that area!

I’ve noticed that! Rancho Park has decent amenities, but some courses have zero practice areas. It can be frustrating!

Absolutely! It’s hard to get a good warm-up in. It’s a fine balance between great layout and overall experience!

If you’re looking for budget-friendly options, check out Griffith Park Golf Course! The green fees are reasonable, and they often have special deals for locals.

I love Griffith Park! But don’t forget about the Los Feliz course; it’s a hidden gem and usually less crowded. Perfect for casual golfers.

You might also want to check out Rancho Park Golf Club. They’ve got some great discounts on weekdays, and the course is well-maintained.

Rancho Park is awesome! I played there last month and took advantage of their twilight fees. Definitely worth it.

Have you tried looking at the LA City Golf website? They often list discounts and special rates for various public courses. It’s super helpful!
