Planning a Scottsdale Golf Trip - Any Tips?

I’m in the early stages of planning a golf trip to Scottsdale, Arizona, and I’m looking for some advice from those who have been there before.

Itinerary Ideas

I want to make the most of my time there, so if you have any recommendations for:

  • Top golf courses to play
  • Best time of year to visit
  • Hidden gems or must-try places to eat after a long day on the green

Accommodation Suggestions

I’d also love to hear about good lodging options that cater to golf trips. Should I look for resorts with packages, or are there better deals in nearby hotels?

General Advice

Lastly, if anyone has tips on how to organize the trip effectively or what to expect in terms of costs and reservations, that would be incredibly helpful.

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to hitting the links!

I’m planning a golf trip to Scottsdale too! I’ve heard TPC Scottsdale is a must-try. The Stadium Course is gorgeous and challenging. Any other recommendations?

Definitely check out Troon North! The views are spectacular, and it’s a fun course to play.

I second that! Troon North has some of the best terrain in Scottsdale. It’s a great experience.

What about the Boulders? I’ve heard it’s unique with the rock formations. Is it as good as they say?

The Boulders is stunning! Don’t miss the par-3, it’s one of my favorites. Just be ready for some elevation changes.

I’ve played at Grayhawk, and I loved it! The Raptor Course was a great mix of challenge and playability. Highly recommend it!

Grayhawk is great, but I found their course maintenance lacking on my last visit. Anyone else experience this?

That’s a bummer, @barkerkimberly. I had a good experience with course conditions at Grayhawk last summer. Maybe it varies by season?

How about the pricing? Is there a way to find deals on tee times? I’d love to save some cash while enjoying the courses.

Check apps like GolfNow for discounts. I saved quite a bit at TPC last year!

I’m also curious about the nightlife after a round. Any recommendations for bars or restaurants near the courses?

I agree with @srivera! Plus, some places like The Mission have excellent food. It’s a nice way to unwind after a long day on the course.

What’s the best time of year to visit Scottsdale for golf? I heard the summer can be too hot to play.

Spring and fall are fantastic! Summer can be brutal, but if you’ve got early tee times, you can manage it.

I’ve got to say, the golf experience in Scottsdale is hard to beat. It’s not just the courses, but the overall peace and beauty. Perfect for a getaway!

I recommend visiting Scottsdale between October and April. The weather is perfect for golfing during these months, with temperatures around 70-80°F.

Good advice! We went last April, and it was ideal. Also, check out accommodations like the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch for top-tier amenities and access to great courses.

It’s essential to book your tee times in advance, especially for popular courses like TPC Scottsdale. They can fill up quickly during peak times.
