Any tips for golfers who have the opposite issue - an overly wide stance? I find I sometimes get a bit too spread out and struggle to rotate properly.
Try narrowing your stance a bit and focus on keeping your weight centered. An overly wide stance can restrict your hip turn and lead to a loss of power.
Ugh, the dreaded early extension. That’s my nemesis when it comes to iron play. Consciously pushing my hips forward at impact has helped me avoid that issue.
I’m all about that wide stance life. Gives me a solid base and helps me swing with more control. But I’m sure it’s not the right fit for everyone. Gotta find what works for your swing.
Haha, I’m the complete opposite. I used to have a stance that was way too narrow, and it was causing all sorts of problems. A few lessons later, and now I’m rocking a nice, wide base. Gotta love the golf swing adjustments!
Stance is so important, yet it can be so tricky to get right. I’d definitely recommend working with a pro to analyze your setup and make any necessary tweaks. Those little adjustments can make a big difference.
Early extension is the bane of my existence too! I’ll have to try that hip push cue. Anything to help keep that lower body more stable through impact.
As someone who has tried just about every stance adjustment under the sun, my advice would be to not get too caught up in the ‘perfect’ setup. Find what feels comfortable and natural for your swing, and make small tweaks from there.
Great perspective. It’s easy to get caught up in trying to achieve the ‘perfect’ stance, but at the end of the day, comfort and consistency are key. Solid advice.
