I felt the same last summer! The rough was super thick too, making it tough to recover. Have they improved it since?

I played just last weekend and noticed a big improvement in the greens! They rolled beautifully. However, some tee boxes could use a little TLC.

I’ve been to Blackwolf Run a few times and it’s always a challenge! The course is visually stunning, but those rough areas can be frustrating. Definitely keeps you on your toes!

That’s a fair point! The overall maintenance is generally good, but those small areas can really affect the experience.

I agree with the maintenance aspect. I remember hitting off what felt like concrete at one of the tee boxes last month! Not the best experience.

Haha, I think I know what you mean! Sometimes it’s like playing on a different course when the conditions vary so much.

How do people feel about the rough? I think it’s intentionally challenging, but it can really affect your score if you land there too often!

Absolutely! It’s like the course is saying, ‘Are you ready for a real challenge?’

I find the rough to be not just challenging but sometimes unfair! The depth makes recovery a feat in itself.

Anyone notice any recent changes? Last I heard they were planning some upgrades to the course layout. Curious if that’s affected playability.

Good question! I’ve seen some work done on the bunkers, which seems to be a positive change.

Is it just me or do the greens speed up drastically in certain seasons? Seems like every time I go, it’s a new adventure!

So true! You never know what obstacles await. Just remember to bring an extra ball or three!

I’ve played Blackwolf Run multiple times, and its layout really demands strategic planning. The par 3s are particularly challenging, particularly due to the elevation changes. It definitely keeps you on your toes!

Absolutely! The way they have the bunkers positioned really tests your approach shots. I often find myself approaching holes from unexpected angles.

I agree with both of you! The layout is not just visually stunning; each hole seems to offer a new challenge. What do you all think about Hole 7? That water hazard demands a lot of respect.

Hole 7 is definitely a turning point in the round. One wrong shot and you could easily be adding strokes! It’s like a test of patience and skill rolled into one.

The variety in challenges really sets Blackwolf Run apart from other courses I’ve played. Each hole has its uniqueness, which keeps the game fresh. Some courses feel monotonous, but not this one!
