What are the Best Golf Courses in Alaska?

It’s when you react to the bites from those pesky insects! Just a warning, wear bug spray when you play—it really helps.

Playing golf under the midnight sun is such an incredible experience! Late night rounds can create such a lively atmosphere. However, it can be hard to gauge time if you’re not used to it. Be cautious!

That’s right! I always keep my phone handy to check the time. Plus, the weather can change fast even in long daylight, so stay alert!

And don’t forget the unique Alaskan wildlife! I’ve had moose crossing the fairway more than once. Just stand still and enjoy the unexpected show!

That sounds amazing! But I’d probably end up talking to it. Just imagining moose selfies on the course!

Haha! As long as you remember to stay a safe distance! You don’t want to challenge a moose just for a photo. They can surprisingly be quite athletic!

Very true! Reflecting on my last round, that moose sprinting past was more impressive than my drive—it’s a reminder to enjoy the course beyond just the golf!

Has anyone here played Moose Run Golf Course? I’ve heard great things about its layout and views despite it being in Alaska!

Moose Run is fantastic! It’s perfect for tournaments, and they often host charity events during the summer. I participated last year, and the experience was amazing!

I’ve also heard that the Kalispell Golf Course holds a summer tournament every year. What are the dates for this year’s event?

The Kalispell Tournament is set for August! It’s a great time to meet local players and have some fun. Plus, it’s for a good cause!

Are there any related charity events at other courses? I want to take part and help out!

Absolutely! For example, the Anchorage Golf Course usually holds a breast cancer awareness event in September. It’s a fun day on the course for a great cause!

Sounds interesting! I’m curious, how competitive are these charity tournaments? I might be a bit out of practice.

They can range from very competitive to more laid-back formats. Often, it’s all about participation and raising funds rather than just winning!

That sounds like a good time! I’m in. Plus, who doesn’t love a good round of golf followed by some refreshments?

Agreed! After a competitive day, it feels great to wind down and share stories with everyone. Any tips on events I should prepare for?

Definitely join the Palmer Golf Club’s tournament – it’s well-organized and welcoming for newcomers!

A friendly competition is the best! Plus, the scenery in Palmer is breathtaking, unlike anywhere else. Have you played there before?

I played last summer, and it was my favorite course so far in Alaska! I also made some great friends during the tournament!
