What are the best golf courses in Oklahoma?

I’m planning a golf trip to Oklahoma and I’m curious about the best courses to play. I’ve heard a lot of chatter about some amazing places, but I want to get the lowdown from fellow golfers.

What I’m Looking For:

  • Recommendations: Which public or private courses offer the best experience?
  • Course Conditions: How are the conditions on the courses this time of year?
  • Value for Money: Are there hidden gems that are affordable?
  • Personal Experiences: Any memorable rounds worth sharing?

If you could share your thoughts or even a ranking of your top picks, I would really appreciate it! Looking forward to your insights!

One of my favorites is Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa. It’s been rated among the best in the nation! The greens are immaculate, and it’s got a rich history with major tournaments.

Absolutely agree! Southern Hills is a gem. Another great course is the Oaks Country Club. Fantastic amenities and beautiful scenery.

I’ve played at Karsten Creek and was blown away! The layout is challenging yet enjoyable; it’s definitely a must-play for serious golfers.

Great point! Lake Hefner is where I started golfing. Nice to have supportive staff who can help you improve!

Has anyone tried playing at Belmar Golf Club? I’ve heard mixed reviews about their conditions but would love to hear more opinions!

Belmar can be hit or miss. I’ve had great rounds there, but it really depends on the season. Still, it’s a fun course to play!

If you’re ever near Edmond, look into the Kickingbird Golf Club. It’s well-kept and reasonably priced – perfect for a casual round with friends!

Kickingbird is fantastic! I also recommend the Trosper Park Golf Course. It tends to be quieter, making for a relaxing day of golf.

Does anyone here think that the elevation changes at the Highland Golf Course make it one of the best? I enjoyed the layout but it was a workout!

I love that challenge! It’s definitely not for the faint-hearted, but it keeps things interesting.

Golf is all about that peaceful escape. Just remember to relax, have fun, and occasionally laugh at your own swing mishaps! What’s a golf game without some humor?

Exactly! It’s often said that the best score is a smile. Do you have a funny golf story to share?

For budget-friendly golf courses in Oklahoma, check out the Rose Creek Golf Club. They often have deals for locals that make it very affordable. You can also look at their website for any discounts.

I love Rose Creek! Another great option is Lincoln Park Golf Course. It’s very well-maintained and offers good rates for both weekdays and weekends.

I’m on a tight budget, so I’d love to hear more about affordable courses. What are the average prices at these places?

Most budget-friendly courses in Oklahoma range from $20 to $40 for green fees on weekdays. Weekends might be a bit higher. Check out the local community courses too for great deals!
