What are the best public golf courses in Seattle, WA?

I’m planning to hit the links around Seattle and I’m looking for the best public golf courses in the area. I want to hear your thoughts and experiences! What are your favorite courses to play?

A few things I’m curious about:

  • Course Quality: Are the greens well-maintained?
  • Scenery: Any courses with stunning views?
  • Difficulty Levels: I’d like options for different skill levels.
  • Amenities: How do they do on things like clubhouse facilities and food?

If you’ve got a recommendation (or two), please share any specific experiences you’ve had! Personal anecdotes and tips are also a huge plus. Thanks in advance for your help!

I’d say one of the best public courses in Seattle is Jefferson Park Golf Course. It has amazing views and the course is well maintained. Plus, the pricing is quite reasonable! Definitely check it out.

I love Jefferson Park! The layout is challenging yet fun. If you’re into scenic spots, the views of the city skyline are unbeatable!

Don’t forget to mention the Northgate Golf Course! It’s a hidden gem. The course conditions are usually top-notch, and they have great amenities, including a nice clubhouse.

Northgate is awesome, but have you tried the driving range there? It’s really spacious and a great place to practice.

I’ve played at the Interbay Golf Center a lot too! It’s perfect for beginners and they have a fun 9-hole course. Plus, the staff is super friendly!

Totally agree! Interbay is fun, but I think it can get a bit crowded during weekends. Anyone know if they have any special events coming up?

Definitely hear you on the crowds! I’ve been to Lake Spanaway Golf Course too, and it was a bit less crowded. Their greens are some of the best I’ve seen!

Lake Spanaway sounds good! I appreciate when a course takes care of the greens. What’s the price like there?

I think Lake Spanaway is around $40 for 18 holes, which is pretty reasonable for the quality. But if you want something truly unique, try the Golf Club at Newcastle. It’s a bit pricier but the experience is worth it!

Newcastle offers stunning views too! But why does it have to be so expensive? It’s almost like they think we’re all millionaires!

True, elizabeth69! But sometimes, those premium courses are nice for a special event. Have you all ever played at the Sand Point Country Club? It has a rich history and beautiful landscape.

I highly recommend Jefferson Park Golf Course. It’s budget-friendly and offers great views of the Seattle skyline! They often have special deals during weekdays.

Absolutely! I’ve played there many times. If you’re flexible with times, try booking early in the morning for better rates.

For more budget options, consider Green Lake Golf Course. It’s shorter but still a fun course that’s easy on the wallet!

Green Lake is great! Also, check for twilight deals. You can save quite a bit if you play later in the day.

Don’t forget about the Seattle Parks Golf websites. They often have promotions and discounts. Sometimes, you can get a round for under $30.

Yes! Also, they have an email newsletter that can alert you to flash sales or discounts!

True, but if I’m spending more, I want a solid course experience. Anyone ever play at the Proctor Golf Club?
