What's the Average Distance with a 60-Degree Wedge?

So true! Sometimes I just wish I could hit the ball as far as my buddies! It’s frustrating!

Is there a specific brand of balls that tend to work better with a 60-degree wedge? I’m curious what everyone prefers.

I love using Titleist Pro V1 for my wedges! They seem to give me the best results.

Golf is such a game of variables! One day you hit it 90 yards, the next it’s only 70. Makes you reflect on how much we can control.

I’m really curious about this too! Last time I tried my 60-degree wedge, I felt off. What’s a good average distance for it?

I’ve been working on my distance with the 60-degree wedge! I usually hit it around 70-80 yards, but I think there’s more potential.

I find that practicing with a target can help improve accuracy. Try setting up targets at different distances when you practice.

Great tip, Pamela! I also like working on my stance and grip before hitting my shots. Anyone else have specific drills they recommend?

Try the ‘9 to 3’ drill—practice swinging your wedge from a 9 o’clock position to 3 o’clock. It helps build consistency.

That’s a solid drill! Adding to that, I like to visualize the ball arc during my swings. It builds muscle memory.

That’s interesting, but isn’t distance also about swing speed? I feel like some of us just aren’t built for long shots.

While swing speed is important, technique trumps everything else. Proper follow-through can really maximize distance too.

I couldn’t agree more! Sometimes it’s all about finesse over brute strength. We need balance in our shots.

LOL, if only my finesse could make up for my lack of speed. Practice makes perfect, right?

Absolutely! Just remember to track your progress. Reflecting on what worked versus what didn’t can be eye-opening.
