Where are the Best Golf Stores in Los Angeles?

I’m looking for recommendations on the best golf stores in Los Angeles. I’ve recently taken up the game and want to invest in some good quality clubs and gear. Here are a few things I’m particularly interested in:

What I’m Looking For

  • Quality and Variety: I want to check out stores that have a wide selection of golf clubs, apparel, and accessories.
  • Pricing: It’s important for me to find places that offer competitive pricing, decent sales, or even used equipment options.
  • Customer Service: I’m hoping to find knowledgeable staff who can provide advice on what to buy based on my skill level.
  • Fitting Services: If any stores offer fitting services, that would be a plus as I’d like to ensure my clubs are the right fit for me.

A Few Stores I’ve Heard Of

I’ve heard of a few places such as

  • Golf Galaxy: Always have a good selection, but not sure about their service.
  • Roger Dunn Golf Shops: Known for a good variety but curious if anyone has experience with them.
  • Miller Golf: I’ve read some positive reviews about their fittings.

Questions

  • Are there any smaller, local shops that offer great service?
  • How do the major chains compare to local shops in terms of service and value?

I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions based on your experiences. Thanks in advance for your help!

I highly recommend GolfSmith in West Los Angeles. They have an incredible range of equipment and the staff is always super helpful. My last visit was great for finding new drivers!

I’ve been to Golf Galaxy in Pasadena, and they also have fantastic options. Their prices are pretty competitive too!

I usually go to Edwin Watts Golf on Olympic Blvd. They have a solid assortment and the fitting service was top-notch! Highly recommend it for serious golfers.

Great recommendation! I’ve found their staff knowledgeable. But I wonder, do they also carry a good range of women’s clubs?

Yes! They have a dedicated section for women’s equipment. I bought my adjustable driver there last month, and it’s changed my game completely!

I’ve also had a mixed experience at smaller shops like The Golf Mart. Great selection but sometimes the staff is hit or miss.

So true! I’ve faced the same at that store. However, if you’re looking for expert advice, just drop by their any sale event.

Try Scheels. They have an amazing variety of brands! Plus, the experience is just fun with the indoor golf range.

The outdoor putting green at Scheels is quite impressive! I think it’s a unique touch that helps in selecting the right putter.

Honestly, if you have time, check out Roger Dunn Golf Shops. They often have sales that are hard to resist!

Great point! I’ve picked up some great deals there. Just make sure to keep an eye on the clearance rack!

I see a lot of suggestions for stores, but does anyone know which has the best selection of golf balls? I’m very particular!

For golf balls, I’d recommend checking out the selection at PGA Tour Superstore. They literally have every brand under the sun!

That’s good to hear! I’ve been curious about going there. Are the prices reasonable on the premium brands?

Yes! They often run promotions on premium brands. I got a dozen Pro V1s for almost 20% off last month!

Golf is great, but can we talk about how many stores sell the same clubs? Sometimes it feels like deja vu, no?

I believe the best golf store in LA is Roger Dunn Golf Shops. They frequently have amazing prices on clubs and gear, especially during the winter clearance sales.

I’ve heard great things about Roger Dunn too, but don’t forget about Golf Galaxy! They run some killer promotions, especially on apparel.

It seems like every store has sales at different times. If anyone has details on seasonal sales, please share! It’s hard to keep track.
