I played in Thailand last year! The best time to go is during the dry season, from November to April. I stayed at a golf resort, which made it very convenient.

Transportation was quite manageable! Taxis were affordable, and many resorts provide shuttle services to nearby courses. Just be mindful of traffic during peak times.
