Support the Golf Roots at the 26th Golf Foundation Pro-Am
The Pro-Am occupies a special place in the golfing calendar, supported by The European Tour and held this year at one of the country’s most popular golfing venues at London Golf Club, in Ash, Kent (near Brands Hatch). The action on the day will take place on the Heritage course. This is a classic Jack Nicklaus layout which forces you to consider every shot. Dramatic tee shots and daunting approaches make the course both memorable and challenging. The Heritage has been host to The European Open and is maintained to the very best standards.
Teams of three amateurs will be supported by a Tour professional for a Stableford better-ball competition which features a range of prizes and on-course challenges. The atmosphere on the day is always very friendly as amateurs are joined by European Tour, European Senior Tour and Ladies’ European Tour players.
Each year more than 750,000 children across the British Isles benefit from the initiatives and resources available through the Golf Foundation, working in partnership with the golfing bodies in England, Wales and Scotland. Sarah Tennyson, Marketing Manager of the Golf Foundation, said: “The Foundation’s Pro-Am has become a highlight of the season for many business people. It is a great networking occasion where you can make firm friends in the golf industry, and playing in the event itself is always exciting because the day is so well set up by our supporters at The European Tour. “The Pro-Am is also a way that companies can ‘put something back’ into the grass roots of the game and help the next generation of young players.” The big day is on the 8th October. Bookings cost £1,200 per team. Shotgun start at 10.30am. To find out more about booking a team, call 01992 449830 or visit www.golf-foundation.org.
