RNLI Charity Golf Day - Farrington G&CC, Bristol

The RNLI are holding a charity golf day on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Farrington Golf & Country Club*, raising funds to ensure that the volunteer crews and their support teams are equipped with the best possible boats and equipment as they help save lives at sea and on our beaches.

Whether you are a scratch player or have a high handicap, it does not matter, just come to enjoy the day and have fun in supporting such a deserving charity which receives no government funding.

This will be very much a team event, with 4 players each team over 18 holes, with Stableford scoring in the Bowmaker format (two lowest scores on each hole count). The cost is a very modest £35 per player or £140 per team.

There will be prizes for the top three teams, plus 'nearest the pin' and 'longest drive'. A hot running two course buffet is included.

A silent auction is also being organised. The RNLI have been donated some excellent items for auction and hope you will be encouraged to make handsome bids, raising even more much needed funds for the Charity. A list of items can be found here. To help with the auction bidding, a guide to value is given in some cases and of necessity a minimum ‘reserve’ bid is shown where the RNLI have been offered the item but only at a discounted Charity price. Please place your bids in the RNLI collection bucket at Registration. Bids will be opened when Competition prizes are awarded, which is expected to be around 7.00pm.
