St Johns Housing Trust's Charity Golf Day
The money raised will be used to develop vital support services for homeless people in the Norfolk and Suffolk areas, helping them improve their employability, their health and wellbeing and give them something positive to focus on. We are very excited about this event and hope to have lots of people attending. The format is individual Stableford and ticket prices are just £35 per person for 18 holes, including a bacon roll upon arrival and a post-event informal meal. Pairs can book for £65, or teams of four for £125. (See flyer below) We would like to welcome you to enter either individually or with friends and colleagues and help support the valuable work that we are doing for local people. Local people just like Jon... Jon is 17 years old. He doesn’t get on well with his Mum’s new boyfriend; they always seem to end up rowing so it was decided it was time he left and stood on his own two feet. That’s not so easy when you’ve no job and left school with few qualifications. Jon has settled in well at Phoenix House our hostel for young people; he is receiving help with his literacy and numeracy skills and is even thinking about the qualifications he will need for a future career in catering. He is also working with our counsellor to look at his drinking and anger management issues. Jon has got a way to go before he is ready to live successfully on his own but he can be sure that St Johns will be with him along the way providing help, advice and support when he needs it. St Johns Housing Trust supports over 200 people who are homeless every night as well as provide numerous support services for local people in need via our drop-in centre Bridge View. Fundraising enables us to provide vital support services for our client’s with our priorities being health, education, training and employment. We know that if we can help our clients improve their health and mental wellbeing, and give them something positive to focus their time on whether it is gardening in one of our allotments, learning recipes to feed a family on a budget or getting help with a CV and job hunting then their future is far more positive. Please show your support for local people and join us on the 10th October. There are numerous sponsorship opportunities for local businesses to promote their work at the Golf Day from as little as £50.00.
