Zoopla launches national charity golf tournament in aid of Shelter Zoopla, the UK's most comprehensive property website, has today announced the launch of The Zoopla Charity Classic 2012, a national golf tournament to be hosted annually in aid of homelessness charity Shelter and an event which is sure to become a hot ticket on the estate agent and developer annual calendar. ![]() The Zoopla Charity Classic will give all residential agents and developers a chance to compete in one of four regional qualifying events at some of the UK's best and most challenging courses during May and June, culminating in a grand final round at the world-famous Belfry in September. The winner of each qualifier event will be awarded a trophy along with associated bragging rights. And the eight highest place finishers from each of the four regional events will go on to the final, to be held on 19th September at The Belfry. The overall winner will take home the 2012 Zoopla Charity Classic Cup as well as the reward of being named best golfer in UK residential property. The four regional qualifiers will be held as follows: • Thursday 10 May 2012 at Manor House, Wiltshire, SN14 7JW Register for your place by emailing golfclassic@zoopla.co.uk to request your invitation code. Entry is open to Zoopla members only and must be made by March 30th, 2012. At the start of the year Zoopla announced a partnership with Shelter and has so far raised in excess of £25,000 in just the first quarter of the year alone. Zoopla hopes that this new annual golf tournament will help to build on that figure. Jon Notley, Commercial Director Zoopla.co.uk said: “We all know just how competitive the world of agents and developers can be. So, we have decided to take that out of the office and onto the golf course and at the same time help raise some more funds for Shelter. This is set to be a great day out for some of our members and an event that we are looking forward to hosting annually.”
