Weather: The weather for the tournament was very mild. Upper 70's to lower 80's with sunny skies and a light southerly breeze.

Course conditions: Overall conditions were very good. Fairway grass was slightly tall. All the greens were in very good condition with the exception of number 11 which had received substantial motorcycle damage three weeks earlier.

Special play rules: Rule 20 (Relief Situations and Procedure) was used for all holes. Players were allowed to lift, clean and place the ball in the fairway.
