Anyone had a club doctor review? Looking for insights!

Seeking Recommendations for Golf Club Doctors

Hey fellow golfers!

I’ve recently been thinking about getting my clubs fitted properly, and I’ve come across the term ‘club doctor’. For those of you who might not know, a club doctor specializes in assessing and customizing golf clubs to help enhance our golfing performance.

Why Consider a Club Doctor?

Here are a few reasons why I think it’s worth checking out:

  • Personalization: Each golfer has different swing styles, and a club fitting can help tailor the clubs to suit your unique game.
  • Performance Boost: Properly adjusted clubs can significantly improve distance and accuracy, turning a mediocre shot into a great one.
  • Comfort: Let’s face it, if our clubs feel good in our hands, it can boost our confidence on the course.

What I’m Looking For

I’m interested in hearing from anyone who has had a review or fitting from any club doctors. Specifically:

  • What was your experience like?
  • Any particular club doctor you’d recommend?
  • How did your game change after the fitting?

I’m all about improvements and making my game better, so any advice or experiences you can share would be super helpful!

Thanks in advance for your insights!

I recently had a club fitting with Dr. Sampson and it was eye-opening! He really took the time to understand my swing and recommended some adjustments that made a big difference in my game.

That’s great to hear! I had a similar experience with Dr. Adams. He lengthened my irons and I noticed a significant improvement in my accuracy.

I went to Dr. Lee last month. Initially, I was skeptical about needing a doctor for my clubs, but he perfectly adjusted my driver. Now I’m hitting 30 yards longer!

Wow! That’s impressive! How much did the fitting cost? I’m curious about the investment versus the benefits.

It was around $150 for mine, but the investment was totally worth it. Plus, it’s nice to finally play with clubs that feel like they’re made for me.

I’ve had mixed results. I went to a local club doctor, and while the adjustments were OK, they didn’t improve my game as much as I expected. Maybe I need a second opinion!

Sometimes it just depends on the doctor. I had a disappointing experience once too. Have you considered trying someone with more specialized training?

My fitting was fun! Dr. Peters used a launch monitor and the data he collected really solidified the changes we made. My game has improved, and I actually feel more confident on the course now!

That’s awesome! Did they help with your grip too? I’ve been thinking about how a good grip could help my swing immensely.

Definitely! Small adjustments to the grip made a noticeable difference. It’s amazing how something so minor can impact your game a lot.

I wonder how many golfers actually follow through with the changes after a fitting. I often find myself reverting back to old habits.

That’s a common struggle! After my fitting, I set reminders on my phone to practice the new techniques. It actually helped quite a bit!

Finding a good club doctor is like dating—sometimes you just have to experiment before you find ‘the one!’

Haha, that’s true! You might have to go through a few before you find one who gets you!

I recently visited Dr. Smith at the club and he was fantastic! Really took the time to assess my needs and provided great insights for my fitting.

That’s great to hear! I’m looking for someone with that level of care. Did he suggest any specific equipment for you?

I’ve been to Dr. Jones as well, and she offers a really comprehensive fitting process. Highly recommend her for anyone serious about improving their game!

How long is her process? I want to ensure I have plenty of time at the club to go through everything.

Dr. Jones typically takes about an hour, but it varies depending on what you’re looking for. I’ve seen some great results from her suggestions!
